Wait until town meeting
Dear Editor:
At the recent hearing on the proposed change in Alna town government, I asked the question: Under the proposed new form of town government, would there be a select board member be in the town office, on days the office is open, to answer citizens’ questions or concerns"? The answer was "no."
Noting the past first select board member was usually in the town office when the office was open, does this mean the town clerk will be the flack catcher for the of citizens’ questions and concerns? Noting the "no" answer under new form of government that select board members won't have the time to be in the town office, thus possibly burning out the town clerk. This issue should be discussed at the annual town meeting.
