Winterfest runs through Saturday
Winterfest 2022, to benefit the Cooper DiPerri Scholarship Fund, runs Feb. 16-19 at Wiscasset Community Center. All events are free unless otherwise noted ($).
Wednesday, Feb. 16: Silent auction open 3-8 p.m.; Thursday, Feb. 17: Silent auction open 3-8 p.m.; $ cribbage tournament, 5:30 p.m. in the Senior Center; Friday, Feb. 18: Silent auction open 3-8 p.m., Paint Night with Canvases & Cocktails 6-8 p.m. Buy Paint Night tickets online.
Saturday, Feb. 19: Silent auction open 7-2:30 p.m.; $ Breakfast 7:30 - 9:30 in the Senior Center; Snowshoeing with Chelsea 8:30 - 10 a.m. on Community trails, weather permitting; outdoor warming fire pit with s'mores, all day; ice skating, all day, weather permitting; "Mammals of Maine" with Chewonki Foundation 10-11 a.m. in the Senior Center; children's outdoor activities 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; snowmobile rides 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. weather permitting; $ hot lunch 11:30 - 4 p.m. in the Senior Center, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, macaroni and cheese, chili and more available for purchase. Meal deals!; $ corn hole tournament in WCC gymnasium, 2:30 p.m., teams of two, random draw, double elimination tournament. Cash prizes to first and second place finishers.
Proceeds from Winterfest will go to benefit Cooper DiPerri Scholarship, which benefits adults, families and children in Wiscasset and surrounding communities with scholarships for camps, after school programs, memberships for Wiscasset Community Center and programs to help them grow and develop in a healthy and positive way. Without this scholarship foundation, many people would not be able to enjoy the benefits of what our local Community Center and Parks & Recreation Department have to offer. By accessing these programs, we are providing families with the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life.
