Reelect Alna’s Pentaleri
Dear Editor:
On Friday, March 25, the day before Alna’s annual town meeting, Alna residents will have the opportunity to reelect our 1st Select Board member, Ed Pentaleri, to a 2-year term. I strongly support Ed’s candidacy.
Ed was elected last December to complete a 2-year term that was vacated almost a year ago. I have attended almost all of the Selectboard meetings since then. In the three months since Ed was elected, Alna’s town government has stabilized dramatically.
As we all know, it takes three legs for a stool to stand up. For almost a year, Alna’s 2nd and 3rd Select Board members operated as a two-legged stool. Given that, it is of great credit that they were able to keep Alna moving forward and out of trouble, even with some major obstacles placed in front of them. I suspect that most Alna residents join me in thanking them for their steadfast dedication to our town.
With the election of Ed Pentaleri in December, the two-legged stool became a three-legged stool and the result has been recognized and appreciated by all of us who have attended a Select Board meeting either in person or virtually.
While Ed is running unopposed, please join me in voting for him either by absentee ballot now or on Friday, March 25 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Alna Fire House. Your vote will signify your support of Ed’s commitment to a transparent and fair government for Alna. Thank you.
