Current, former selectmen endorse Maloney
Dear Editor:
We, present and past Wiscasset Select Board members endorse the candidacy of William (Bill) Maloney for selectman.
Bill has extensive experience in municipal affairs. He has served as chair of the Wiscasset Budget Committee for the past two years, and chair of the Downtown Committee of several years ago. Prior to moving to Wiscasset, he was chair of the Plan Commission, chair of the Human Rights Commission, and president of the Police Pension Board in a town of 40,000 residents. As chair of the Plan Commission, he was responsible for the development of a $110,000,000 new town center project.
He is diligent, levelheaded, practical, and well qualified to assume the position. Bill knows the difference between what we want and what we need.
We, the undersigned, support the candidacy of William (Bill) Maloney and ask that you do so as well.
