Pan Fried Steel sends its thanks
Dear Editor:
I am writing on behalf of the members of Pan Fried Steel to express our wholehearted thank you to the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor for hosting us at Caribbean Night last Saturday, May 7. As has happened with each of the past 14 years we’ve played at that beautiful venue, we came away saying this was the “best gig,” “the perfect way to start our season,” “the most fun,” “the best and happiest audience!” Truly, our spring visit to the Opera House has become an all-time favorite for us.
After nearly three years of practicing in the out-of-doors in the cold, due to Covid, and much social distancing, we are thrilled to be back performing concerts inside as well as outside again. We hope that you had as much fun as we did that night!
Our thanks go to all involved in putting on the show: Cathy Sherrill for welcoming us back, scheduling us, and providing her excellent publicity and support; Kevin Kiley for his spectacular tropical decorations and technical wizardry with the lights and sound; Eric Lowe for his outstanding ticket sales; and the Friends of the Opera House for their tireless volunteering and dessert table delights. Many thanks to our families, friends, and our community for your enthusiasm and undying support of the band and what we love to do.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended - listening audience, dancers, photographers and “groupies.” We hope to see you at other gigs throughout the coming months.
With our gratitude,
Pat McKee and Pan Fried Steel
