Enter Boothbay’s Got Talent youth competition
Boothbay’s Got Talent is back this year and plans to continue with the online format for the competition portion of the event. The reason for this is to give local youth and teens the opportunity to showcase their special talents, whatever they may be.
With the online format your talent could be lobstering, volunteering, horseback riding, etc. Competition Director Emily Mirabile feels it is important for the competition to not primarily focus on singing and dancing. All youth in our community should have the opportunity to apply.
This year’s competition includes three categories: Miss Windjammer (ages 8-12), King of the Harbor (ages 8-12), and Top Royal (ages 13-18). Participants will be asked to submit a video showcasing their special skill or talent and answers to questions about their hobbies, hopes, and goals.
The competition will air on BRTV on Monday, June 27 at 6 p.m. The winners will be announced LIVE in the Whale Park following the Windjammer Day’s Parade on Wednesday, June 29. The Whale Park event will be hosted by our reigning Kings of the Harbor and feature performances by past winners.
If you are interested in participating in the 2022 competition please email Emily Mirabile at moorefromemily@gmail.com before Friday, June 10.
