Dear Editor:

In my time in Wiscasset, I’ve seen a lot of change. Some good, some not so good. What I have seen is a need for accountability, maintenance and "Think before you act.” These things are all interconnected. If Wiscasset has a need, we need to think it through. If this need is due to lack of maintenance, we need to rectify that, and ask why has it not been maintained, because replacement is always more expensive. If this need is going to cost the taxpayers a handsome sum, we need to have accountability to balance need vs. want.

Bill Maloney is running for Wiscasset Selectboard. Bill has a track record of weighing the balances of large jobs. Wiscasset is a large job. He is also a member of the Budget Committee, which indicates he cares how and where the taxpayers money is being allocated. Wiscasset needs Bill Maloney on the Selectboard.  He has my vote.

One more thing, he has a great sense of humor, which lightens a meeting in a time of need.
