Albert F. Nichols
Albert F. Nichols, 68, of Boothbay Harbor died unexpectedly April 30, 2013.
He was born April 12, 1945 in Augusta, the son of Doris Broyle and Frank Nichols. The Nichols owned a car dealership in Augusta for many years.
Albert was an avid fan of car racing, especially NASCAR, and his favorite drivers were Jimmy Johnson and Juan Carlos Montoya.
He was an educated man, having attended a private high school in Pennsylvania where he participated in many activities, including dancing, swimming, tennis and equestrian events. He later attended technical school in Augusta.
Albert loved the ocean. As a teenager, he spent much of his time fishing in a small boat. During the winter months, he enjoyed doing auto repairs on classic cars. He owned a 1972 Chevy Nova SS street classic and he won many trophies at shows from Maine to Florida.
He loved to travel the world and visited locations all around the United States, Nova Scotia, Canada and South America.
He was very sentimental and kind. He will be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Alba Teresa Nichols.
