Dear Editor:

As Ed Thelander has promised, when elected to serve us in the U.S. Congress from District 1, he will work across the aisles to:

--Represent the interests of his constituents and not DC special interests.

--Assure that government functions of, for and by the people.

--Stop government overreach and reckless spending.

--Defend American liberties with integrity.

--Limit the role of government.

--Improve our education system to help assure that our children are taught what is needed to become successful contributing members of society.

--Work to fix our broken border and immigration policies.

--Restore domestic energy production until we have sustainable efficient energy alternatives capable of reducing rising food, energy and living expenses.

--Advocate for term limits. He has promised to serve no more than three Congressional terms.

--Protect Maine’s farming, fishing and forestry industries from overburdening regulations.

I trust that as he did as a Navy Seal for 21 years, Ed Thelander will defend our liberties and keep his promises.
