Pictures, please and thanks
Isn’t it nice to share? A lot of readers take pretty scenics, or photos of fun, local outings with family, friends, or both. We see some on Facebook and ask if we can be emailed them, in their original, pre-Facebook size to help ensure they are their sharpest for print or online use, or both.
Sometimes, area residents also email photos unasked, and these tend to be wonderful photos. We really enjoy seeing them and can usually publish them. They help us show all of Wiscasset, and the faces and special places in our other towns.
Best of all, the items readers supply, such as the letters to the editor, photos and more, deepen and broaden our ability to shine the light on community – the word that often appears in quotes in interviews in our coverage of events, projects, etc. that reflect and grow a town’s collective pride, purpose and heart.
Send any photos to pix@wiscassetnewspaper.com or pix@boothbayregister.com. No copyrighted pics, please.
Thank you in advance!
Week’s positive parting thought: Shouts out to Westport Island’s Gaye Wagner, Wiscasset schools, Wiscasset Art Walk, historical and arts groups, Emily Adler and Garden Club of Wiscasset, Wiscasset Parks and Recreation and other frequent sharers of photos that enrich readers’ experience.
