The American Red Cross will visit the Damariscotta office of The First, N.A. for a blood drive. The drive, which is sponsored by The First, will take place on Tuesday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Red Cross will be sending its Donor Coach, which is a converted recreational vehicle specifically designed for their blood collection. The Coach will be parked on Water Street adjacent to The First’s public entrance. The registration table will be located in the front lobby of The First.

“Having a safe and ample blood supply available is a community-wide responsibility,” explained The First’s Human Resource Officer Denise Griffin. “Blood must be available whenever and wherever it is needed for patients. You literally have it in you to help save a life!”
