Kwiltz 4 Kidz is a local group of quilters whose mission is to create comfort quilts for children and adults who are going through a crisis situation such as chemo, serious illness, loss of a loved one, house fire or other challenges. We also support local nursing home residents with quilts and seasonal gifts, Healthy Kids, Wrap-A-Smile, the Infusion Center, Hospice and the American Legion Homeless Veterans project.

The quilts are given at no cost to the recipient. The cost of fabric, thread and batting is funded by the quilters and our annual sale.

The group is hosting a special two-day sale to further  our mission on Friday, July 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and Saturday, July 8, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 922 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay across from the Sea Glass Spa. Items include lap quilts and larger quilts, wall quilts, hats, table runners and toppers, etc. Cash and local check only please.
