We thought we'd follow up John Waters' AMAZING visit to The Waldo with his FAVORITE film of the year - Beau is Afraid. Written and directed by Ari Aster (yes, that Ari Aster - of Midsommar), the 2023 American surrealist tragicomedy horror film follows the mild-mannered but paranoia-ridden Beau as he embarks on a surreal odyssey to get home to attend his mother's funeral, confronting his greatest fears along the way.
The Waldo will also be raffling off one of the very limited edition SIGNED pink flamingos that were on our front lawn at the two JW shows. He very kindly signed some and we will be raffling off one of the pink plastic beauties at this screening. Join us for a great night of cinema at The Waldo!
Tickets are $10 in advance at: https://waldotheatreinc.thundertix.com/events/214892, and $15 on the day of the film. Doors open at 6:30pm. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Free parking is available on Main Street; Friendship Street; in the 8 spaces on Glidden Street; in the Kuhn Parking lot (beside the masonic lodge on Main Street); and in the lot behind Perch and The Narrows Tavern. We ask that you please do NOT park on School Street, as parking there is prohibited and strictly enforced.
