Boothbay Railway Village Museum
55th annual Fall Foliage Festival Oct. 7-8
The 55th annual Fall Foliage Festival is set to kick off this weekend at the Boothbay Railway Village Museum. A long standing fall tradition and Midcoast favorite, the festival features an artist and makers market of 60+ vendors, a variety of Maine musicians, and an outstanding collection of food vendors. Younger attendees can enjoy a pumpkin hunt, pumpkin art, face painting, feeding the goats, and exploring the 35 acre property.
The festival setting is an authentic vintage village featuring a 4-acre green surrounded by historic Maine buildings that are open for exploring. Guests can also enjoy the Antique Auto Museum, Model Railroad exhibit, and a unique shopping experience at the Iron Horse Antiques and General Store. Train rides are also available for $5 per person.
'Fall is the perfect time of year to visit our region. The crisp, clean air and the vibrant foliage provide perfect conditions for outdoor recreation. And our beautiful peninsula offers endless options for lodging, dining, shopping, boat excursions, and so much more!” said Festival coordinator, Lori Reynolds
The festival is a joint fundraiser to support the Boothbay Railway Village Museum and the Boothbay Region Information Center. Festival hours are Saturday, Oct. 7: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 8 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Festival admission is $5 per person, ages 5 and under free, and the event is rain or shine.
