Get your reggae on Saturday night with Dani Tribesmen
The Fall Starlight Music Series to benefit the Boothbay Region Health Center will feature the Dani Tribesmen Reggae Band, local favorites Dave and Chris Gagne, this Saturday, Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. The performance will be held at The Boothbay Playhouse and cocktails and food will be available for purchase.
Since their beginnings in 1985, the Dani Tribesmen Reggae Band has performed throughout New England and has shared the stage with bands such as Burning Spear and The Band. The Band got it start by jamming together at the Wharf, a popular music spot on the waterfront in downtown Hallowell. They are based out of Boothbay Harbor where each summer they produce and perform reggae cruises aboard the Harbor Princess.
The Fall Starlight Music Series, consisting of four performances, was created to benefit the BRHC. The next concert will be held Friday, Dec. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature Boogie2Shooz. Tickets are $20 advance and $25 at the door for both performances. Tickets can be purchased at the health center, Hawke Motors and online at Eventbrite.com. For more information, call 207-633-1075.
