Taliana bench ceremony set for September 1

The Boothbay Region Arts Foundation invites all to attend the official dedication of the late Jim Taliana's memory bench, slated for September 1 at 1 p.m in the Whale Park.
It's been over seven months since Taliana died, and by now thousands of people have passed by or sat down on the giant stone bench in the Whale Park in Boothbay Harbor.
The Taliana memory bench was installed on May 30 to honor the life of the late artist whose love and dedication to his community left a lasting impression on the Boothbay region.
The bench was made possible by Boothbay Region Art Foundation and public donations are still being accepted.
Checks can be made out to P.O. Box 124, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538 with a note saying “Talinana Memory Bench.”
