All books in the “Pets” section at Skidompha Secondhand Book shop will be on sale at half price from Friday, Feb. 2 through Friday, Feb. 16.

The sale offers many books about cats and dogs, and also some about horses, birds, and fish.  Some discuss the animals themselves, others describe how to train and care for them.

In more book shop news, regular prices on DVDs, CDs, and audio books have been reduced. DVDs now sell for $2 each, down from $2.50. CDs are $1, down from $2. Audio books are $2, down from $2.50.

The book shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing in downtown Damariscotta, is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

All items in the shop are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and proceeds support the collections and programs of Skidompha Public Library. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
