Sundae bar part of paint night Feb. 9
Come to the party! Friday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m., Feed Our Scholars is hosting a paint night. Happy strawberry-designed vases are the order of the night. St. Philip’s Church Lippiat Hall at 12 Hodge St. is the place to be. For $30 per adult, $25 per youth, 12-17, the participants will gain instruction and all materials provided by Artful Nights Maine with artist Nicole White to come away with your own perky strawberry vase.
Moms, while dads and daughters are cutting a rug at Wiscasset Community Center’s Father-Daughter Dance, grab your buddies and come to Hodge Street for your own fun. Of course, gents are very welcome, too!
To add to the delight of the evening, there will be an ice cream sundae bar: Scoops of ice cream on which to create your dessert. Real whipped cream, homemade strawberry, fudge, and caramel sauces, many candy and fruit toppings to flesh out the dish. For the lactose intolerant, there will be a version for you, as well.
The strawberry theme will be carried through the dessert table’s centerpiece thanks to Water Lily Flowers and Gifts. The Water Street, Wiscasset flower shop-provided piece will go home as a special prize for some lucky attendee – an extra incentive to attend and to help raise funds to support Feed Our Scholars’ weekend food bag and Set For Success’ school supply programs.
To register for the event, call St. Philip’s at 882-7184, leaving a name, number in the party, and a return phone number for verification. Or go to https://www.facebook.com/WiscassetFeedOurScholars to message your reservation, and then get ready for a truly fun evening.
