Ocean Point Studio/Visions of Maine celebrating 20th year
Corinne McIntyre, a plein air painter, will feature and exhibit her most recent landscape and seascape paintings “Mid-Summer in Maine,” during the First Friday Art Walk August 2. Ocean Point Studio/Visions of Maine will hold its reception from 4 to 7 p.m. with wine and refreshments.
“I never tire of painting Grimes Cove. Each season brings it's own beauty,” McIntyre said. “This time it was the Goldenrod growing right out of the rocks beside the ocean. The Asters were bluish and acted as a complement to the yellow Goldenrod. What a rewarding experience. I am sure I shall paint Grimes Cove many many times again.”
Fred McIntyre's beautiful hand-carved pottery will also be featured. Each work is unique and captures the colours, ruggedness and natural beauty of Maine.
Ocean Point Studio, located on the Van Horn Road (off Route 96) at Ocean Point in East Boothbay, also has both limited and open edition prints available.
Come see the new work, celebrate our 20th year, and enjoy some wine, comraderie and refreshments at the same time.
