Exhibit at Damariscotta River Grill offers array of perspectives
Visitors from both away and the throughout the region enjoyed the recent reception for “Painting Maine IV” at Damariscotta River Grill. Running through September 15, the show highlights the unique artistic styles of four Maine artists: Ellen Hutcheson of Boothbay, Sally Loughridge of South Bristol, Barbara Klein of Bristol, and Betty Heselton of Gardiner and Pemaquid.
Each artist's work reveals her distinct perspective, be it Hutcheson's whimsical images of the coastline; Loughridge's embrace of natural light and shadow; Klein's rustic buildings nestled in the landscape; or Heselton's portrayals of Maine's beauty and seasonal activities. Collectively over 90 original artworks: oil, soft pastel and watercolor paintings and cement reliefs all reflect the artists’ passionate connections with Maine.
Damariscotta River Grill is located at 155 Main Street in Damariscotta.
