The Wiscasset future of the schools ad hoc committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, June 17 in the town office meeting room and at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81481191791?pwd=c1JUK3FuTXRHZmNZcGE2amI1UTNBdz09

The agenda, out Thursday, June 13, calls for appointing a secretary; reviewing the committee’s first report; looking at how the committee will update and input information; discussing the committee’s “charge and scope”; and setting “goals for (the) next report and next steps.”

The committee resulted from a town vote. The first report cited a need to keep both schools open if grades nine through 12 were tuitioned out; and it said doing that would not save money, and might cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars more.
