The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 380 calls for service for the period of July 9 to July 16. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,341 calls for service.
Summonsed
George E. Gilmore, 38, of Rockland was issued a summons July 10 for Violating Condition of Release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Paul A. McDonald, 37, of Jefferson was issued a summons July 10 for Violating Conditions of Release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton, on behalf of Sgt. Scott Hayden.
A 17-year-old male juvenile from Brookline, Massachusetts was issued a summons July 13 for Minor Giving False Age to Order Liquor, on Wharf Street, Boothbay Harbor, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Brandon M. Perkins, 34, of Dresden was issued a summons July 13 for Criminal Trespass, on Carney Point Road, Dresden, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Katie A. Orff, 37, of Somerville was issued a summons July 15 for Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief, on Valley Road, Somerville, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrests
Paul A. McDonald, 37, of Jefferson was arrested July 9 for Domestic Violence Stalking; Domestic Violence Terrorizing (Firearm); Criminal Restraint; Creating a Police Standoff and Domestic Violence Assault, on Maple Lane, Jefferson, by Detective Matthew Ryan, who was assisted by numerous other law enforcement officials.
Jamel K. Simpson, Jr., 33, of Orono was arrested July 9 on a Penobscot County warrant for Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
William Braunwarth, 64, of Brookfield, Connecticut was arrested July 11 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Wharf Street, Boothbay Harbor, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Richard A. Gray Sr., 46, of Boothbay was arrested July 13 on a Lincoln County warrant for Failure to Appear on Aggravated Forgery; Operating after Suspension and Failure to Give Correct Name, Address or DOB charges, on Wharf Street, Boothbay Harbor, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Jessica L. Seagrave, 34, of Edgecomb was arrested July 13 for Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence Assault, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Mark Fortin, who was assisted by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Brandi Arsenault, 43, of Boothbay was arrested July 14 for Violating Condition of Release, on Beath Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Jerold Winslow, on behalf of Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Accidents
On July 10, an accident occurred on Lower Cross Road in Nobleboro involving Veronica C. Davis, 26, of Nobleboro. Ms. Davis was operating her 2021 Subaru Outback southbound when she observed a deer enter the road from the northbound ditch. The deer continued into the roadway and struck her vehicle. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On July 10, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Virginia E. Swain, 81, of Hanover, New Hampshire and Samuel C. Mason, 21, of New Haven, Connecticut. Ms. Swain was merging onto Route 1 southbound in her 2020 Subaru Forester and Mr. Mason was merging onto Route 1, behind Swain’s vehicle, in his 2010 Honda CR-V. Mason ran into the back of Swain’s vehicle as they were both attempting to merge. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On July 11, an accident occurred on Union Street in Boothbay Harbor involving David A. Gagne, 68, of Boothbay Harbor and Bahtije Jashari, 21, of Boothbay Harbor. Mr. Gagne was stopped at a stop sign, in front of a crosswalk, in his 2013 Toyota RAV4. He began to accelerate (>5 MPH) after stopping and did not see Ms. Jashari, who had entered the crosswalk. Mr. Gagne struck Ms. Jashari, knocking her to the ground. Gagne stopped and remained with the pedestrian, until First Responders arrived. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On July 12, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Kaleb S. Brooks, 28, of Boothbay; Ryan E. Pearl, 49, of Georgetown and Matthew J. Hofnagel, 65, of Albany, New York. Mr. Hofnagel stopped his 2019 Ford F150 in traffic, heading eastbound, waiting on a vehicle to turn. Mr. Pearl was operating his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado behind Hofnagel’s vehicle, and was stopped in traffic. Mr. Brooks was operating his 2019 GMC behind Pearl’s vehicle and failed to stop. As a result, Brooks struck Pearl’s vehicle in the rear, which was then pushed into Hofnagel’s vehicle. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.
On July 13, an accident occurred on Mill Road in Edgecomb involving Connor M. Wenners, 19, of Edgecomb. Mr. Wenners was operating his 2012 Subaru Impreza northbound when he reportedly fell asleep while his vehicle was in motion. As a result, his vehicle exited the road and traveled into a ditch, before coming to rest against a tree. Deputy Mark Fortin was the investigating officer.
