Y Arts to present ‘Elephant and Piggie JR’ in October
Get ready for a musical experience, ripped from the pages of Mo Willems' best-selling children's books, that will leave audiences doing the "Flippy Floppy Floory" dance all night long!
Thirty-eight local youth performers have begun rehearsals for one of the first productions of “Elephant and Piggie JR” in New England! The production is directed and choreographed by Emily Mirabile and produced through the Y Arts program at the Boothbay Region YMCA. The cast will take the stage at the Lincoln Theater on Oct. 17 and 18 at 5 p.m.
An elephant named Gerald (Imij Armstead) and a pig named Piggie (Adeline Inman) are "bestus" friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She's even happier and more excited than usual because they have been invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles, singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible.
Don't miss this exciting new show! General admission is $10 and tickets will soon be on sale available on the Lincoln Theater website.
