The Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in Damariscotta will hold its annual fall half-price sale from Wednesday, Oct. 30 through Saturday, Nov. 2. Everything in the store (paperback and hard-cover books, puzzles, music and movies) will be on sale at half price.

“This is a great opportunity to stock up for the winter, to do some Christmas shopping, or to find books to help plan next year’s garden or vacation,” co-manager Rosie Bensen said. “We have thousands of books, in dozens of categories, with plenty of choices for children and adults.”

The shop is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s located in the Red Barn, 115 Elm Street, Damariscotta, just up the hill from the library’s back door.

This sale is a major fundraiser for Skidompha Public Library. The shop is run entirely by volunteers, all items are donated and all proceeds benefit the library. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
