Maine Photography Show submission time is here
Entries are being accepted for the ninth annual Maine Photography Show until the stroke of midnight on January 24, 2014. The event, presented by the Boothbay Region Art Foundation, is a juried gallery show of photography in Maine.
This year there is an earlier deadline than prior years to accommodate Juror Freeman Patterson's schedule. Patterson, a nature photographer, gardener and writer, hails from Canada. More information about Patterson can be found on www.freemanpatterson.com.
So, what's your angle on that bed of anemones? It counts this year because the special theme for 2014 is … flowers. And, with all of the gardeners and outdoor types in the region, there should be plenty of scented subjects for those creative composition shots!
In addition to flowers, the show's general categories are color, black and white and student for those 18 and under (judged separately). The first four places in each category, and Best of Show, receive cash prizes upward of $500.
Submissions instructions, and other information can be found on the show's website, www.mainephotographyshow.com.
The exhibition will be held at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation, Saturday, April 12 through Friday, May 2.
