America's most famous sausage car is traveling around Maine and coming to Boothbay Harbor. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is collecting non-perishable food donations for Wayside Food Programs in Portland and will be in town Nov. 15 and 16.  

Friday, Nov. 15, from 3:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Weinermobile will be at the Howard Street parking lot for “Food for Rides.” They will be joined by two shuttles to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for the Gardens Aglow Community night. If time allows, organizers said the vehicle will also visit local restaurants offering Oscar Mayer specials, including Brady's and The Whale's Tale. Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., it will be at Pier One Pizza for Oscar Mayer trivia night with sausage-themed stumpers. 

Organizers will hand out wiener-whistles, and every person who donates food items for the food drive will be entered into a prize drawing.
