Thomas D. Marshall
Thomas D. Marshall, 73, of Southport died Dec. 6, 2024 at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta.
Tom was born July 27, 1951 in Portland to Lawrence Marshall and Betsey Pease Marshall. Tom graduated from the first graduating class of East Lyme High School, East Lyme, Connecticut in 1969. Tom also attended New England Regional Waste Water Institute at S.M.V.T.I.
Tom grew up in Niantic, Connecticut and spent many summers at his family cottage at Appalachee Shores in Boothbay Harbor. Tom worked as the Plant Supervisor at the Boothbay Harbor Sewer District. He also worked at Bath Iron Works for a brief time. In 1988, Tom married Judy (Hull) Marshall and they were happily married for 36 years.
Tom was very active in the Masons. He was a Past Master of Seaside Lodge #144 in Boothbay Harbor, Grand Lodge of Maine, A.F. & A.M., Life member of the Royal Order of Scottish Rite. Tom enjoyed family time with his family and travelling to Rangeley Lakes.
Tom was a very caring and loving person. He was very organized in all of his endeavors. He enjoyed making flag poles for himself and friends. He loved to fly flags which included flags from countries all around the world, state of Maine flag, Masonic flags and most importantly the United States flag. He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister, Karen Keyes.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Marshall of Southport; brother, Peter Marshall and his wife Nancy of Sanford; sister, Anne Rehm and her husband Bill of Bristol,Connecticut; stepdaughter, Kim Peaslee and her husband Cory of Edgecomb; several nieces and nephews; and kitty cats, Mazie Mae and Bella.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay with a Masonic Service at 6:30. The service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 20 at Hall Funeral Home followed by a reception.
