Midcoast Senior College presents 14 new courses in February
Fourteen new courses will start in February through Midcoast Senior College, a local nonprofit that brings learning opportunities to seniors aged 50 years or older. The new courses are six to eight weeks long and are either in-person or online. Course topics cover literature, political science and history, psychology, classical music, social and classical sciences, and art. Classes meet in various locations in the Bath/Brunswick/Topsham area or online.
Midcoast Senior College, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2025, also offers free lectures in its Wisdom speaker series, as well as excursions and social events for its members. In January, the free Winter Wisdom speaker series, sponsored by The Highlands, gets underway on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick with a different speaker each week.
To register for a course, you must be a current MSC member or a current member of another Maine senior college. The annual $40 membership fee is valid from July 1 through June 30 of each calendar year. All courses are $60 per person. MSC offers confidential tuition waivers to its members from its scholarship fund. Please contact us if our fees are outside your budget. Send your tuition waiver request to info@midcoastseniorcollege.org.
