'Weathering the Storm: Resiliency in Maine'
The next Ocean on Tap, an informal, ocean-centric speaker series organized by researchers from Bigelow Laboratory, will take place on Thursday, Jan. 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Footbridge Brewery, 25 Granary Way in Boothbay Harbor.
Guest speaker Brenda Hamilton is a FEMA Storm Outreach & Recovery Coordinator for Maine Coast Fishermen's Association. She will be discussing Maine's recent storms, how to prepare, and the resources available (including funding) for our working waterfront community. It should be especially interesting and useful with the winter storms starting to ramp up! Maine Rep. Holly Stover will also be in attendance to participate in the conversation.
The Facebook event link is here.
The goal of Ocean on Tap, hosted by Footbridge Brewery, is to bring people of the community together over the fascinating world of the ocean. At these events, speakers will share their corner of expertise in the ocean, and attendees are encouraged to ask questions.
