Commissioner Blodgett honored
Lincoln County Commissioner William (Bill) Blodgett was selected Maine County Commissioner of February in honor of his community service by Spirit of America Foundation’s Maine Chapter.
Bill has been serving as a Lincoln County Commissioner for the past 30 years and concurrently was president of Maine County Commissioners Association some of those years.
Blodgett also has served as a eucharistic minister at St. Bernard Catholic Church since early 70s, been actively involved with Waldoboro Food Pantry for 24 years, with Lions Club and Historical Society for many years, and chaired Waldoboro Bicentennial Committee.
He taught high school government for 35 years, served 23 years on Waldoboro Budget Committee, 14 years as a Selectman, 12 years on Jail Authority Board of Directors, nine years on Board of Environmental Protection, and six years in the Maine House of Representatives.
