Friends of Wiscasset Public Library support our library by organizing and financing special projects for the benefit of the Library, and by promoting WPL’s services in the community. We are currently planning the 11th annual Bands for Books which will be held on Labor Day, Sept. 1 at Lakehurst Lodge.

The Friends of the Wiscasset Public Library are a diverse group of people dedicated to the growth and development of our library.  Our mission is to raise awareness of our library, and the additional financial resources needed to maintain our library. While doing this, we have made lasting friendships.  

If you are interested in learning more about The Friends and have thought about joining the Friends, please join us for our annual luncheon at tWater Street Kitchen and Bar on May 14 at  noon. The menu is varied and accommodates every taste and price range. We encourage you to join us to meet the members and learn about some of the wonderful times we have shared. You will find out why we joined and why we maintain our membership in this dynamic group.
