The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) has a $500 scholarship available to a Boothbay student in a postsecondary art program, leading to a degree in graphic art, art education, or fine art.

This scholarship is in addition to the one presented annually to a graduating senior from Boothbay Region High School. Both scholarships are funded by proceeds from the annual “Art in the Square” exhibit, held after Thanksgiving into the new year. This year’s show was chaired by Tony van Hasselt, famed East Boothbay watercolorist.

The application must be accompanied by five examples of current work, submitted on a CD or emailed to boothbayartists@gmail.com. Submission deadline is March 30.
