Wiscasset Middle School students participated in the Modern Woodmen of America Speech contest. The 2014 topic was “The Importance of Healthy Living.” The top 12 students presented their speeches to the public on April 7.
Corey Campbell, Cyra Fait, Lindsey Gordon, Shannon James, Alicia Long, Clara Mugnai, Samantha Myers, Olivia Peaslee, Taylor Robertson, Kennedy Sprague, Cara Viele, and Grace Wehrle participated. The top three contestants, Clara Mugnai, Corey Campbell and Shannon James, will continue on to the RSU 12 wide contest to be held at the Whitefield Elementary School on April 30 at 6 p.m.
