Wiscasset Newspaper speaks
Let me introduce myself: I’m the Wiscasset Newspaper and I’m a broadsheet.
Broadsheets like me have always been the layout style of the sophisticated news consumer. If any tabloid-lovers are reading, I’ll translate: big papers are for big minds.
I don’t care if you need a drafting table to read me. I contain multitudes.
The stories within my pages are worth the extra inches. I’m not old-fashioned, as you might think. I know exactly who I am. I’m not a glossy magazine filled with full page ads of colognes. I’m not a free, floozy leaflet to be recycled minutes after you read me.
I’m a broadsheet and I like who I am. I get read, puzzled over, shared, clipped, put on the fridge – even framed. I am a reflection of the community. I tell it straight: what's happening here in our town.
It’s the weekend. So put the extra leaves in the table; spread out on the floor; or stand up, read, and improve those deltoids.
I’m the Wiscasset Newspaper and I’m a broadsheet. Nice to meet you.
