Carol Wiley opens home gallery
Jefferson artist Carol Wiley announces the opening of Carol Wiley Studio.
Wiley and her husband Peter Coon moved to Jefferson in 2004. Since then she has been painting in her home studio and showing work at various venues in the area — most notably at Tidemark Gallery where she often hung the shows. Wiley and Coon renovated their old garage into a lovely two-room gallery space.
Wiley is a versatile artist whose mediums include pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil. She offers still life, landscape and figurative paintings, some tending toward the abstract. Her work can also be seen at Saltwater Artists Gallery in Pemaquid and online at Art Collector Maine and www.carolwileystudio.com.
The Carol Wiley Studio is located at 17 Spruce Meadow Road in Jefferson. Spruce Meadow is located off Bunker Hill Road/Route 213.
Going north from Damariscotta Mills, it is on the left a mile past the Bunker Hill Church. Coming south, it is five miles from Jefferson Center on the right. The gallery opens for the first time on Saturday, June 28 from 2 to 6 p.m. with an open house.
The public is invited to celebrate the occasion. For more information, call 207-567-1657.
