Maine artist indicted on child pornography charges
Following a search on his computer, Newcastle artist Robert Ransley has been indicted with 20 counts of possession of child pornography by the Lincoln County Grand Jury.
Ransley was originally charged in July with 10 charges each of possession of explicit material of a child under 12 years of age, and explicit material.
Officials seized Ransley's computer during a search and found the illicit images.
None of the images were believed to have originated in Maine.
Each of the 20 counts is a Class C crime, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.
Ransley's works have been featured in galleries nationwide.
