Waldoboro woman charged with cocaine trafficking
Regina Bowman, 41, of Waldoboro, has been arrested and charged with Class B cocaine trafficking.
For the past two months, agents from the the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Mid-Coast District Task Force have been investigating the alleged distribution of cocaine by Bowman throughout the greater Waldoboro and Rockland communities.
On the evening of Oct. 1, agents executed a search warrant at Bowman’s Castner Road residence in Waldoboro, according to a news release from the Dept. of Public Safety.
Agents seized 17 grams of cocaine individually packaged in 1 gram quantities, $3,000 in suspected drug proceeds as well as scales, cutting agents and packaging materials.
A gram of cocaine sells for approximately $100 in the Midcoast area.
Bowman was arrested and transported to the Two Bridges Regional Jail without incident. Bowman has since been released on $15,000 bail.
Assisting in this investigation and search warrant were officers from the Waldoboro and Rockland Police Departments, State Police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
