Come shop at the 18th annual Augusta Fine Crafts Show
The experienced crafts collector, as well as the simply curious, can all find one-of-a-kind pieces at the Augusta Fine Crafts Show. Maine Crafts Guild will hosts this year's 18th annual exhibition “Encounter the Exquisite,” on Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maine State Museum Cultural Building. Admission is free.
The Augusta Fine Crafts Show is a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the direct link between Maine's long history of fine handcrafted objects and its contemporary practitioners. Members gain entrance to the Maine Crafts Guild through a jury process that recognizes the highest quality of skill and craft.
A beautiful array of exquisitely made pieces for the home, the body and the heart, will be for sale for under $50 up to thousands of dollars.
Works in glass, clay, wood, precious stones, metals and paper and fiber, are all superbly designed and produced and handmade in Maine.
“Our goal with these shows is to create a room full of wow for the community to engage,” said new Guild President (and glass blower) Charlie Jenkins of Dresden. “There is so much talent in Maine. The Guild shows offer the public a chance to participate in Maine's historic commonwealth of fine crafts, to meet the artists, and take home something amazing.”
The Maine State Museum Cultural Building is located at 230 State Street, in the Capital Complex, Augusta.
