Jane Dahmen paintings in Damariscotta
As part of Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty’s commitment to exhibit fine art in its historic Damariscotta location at 170 Main Street, the paintings of Jane Dahmen will be on exhibit through Nov. 30.
November is a good month to start thinking of gift giving and nothing is as meaningful as a gift of art. Paintings may be paid for over time, interest free, with a photo/card of the painting pictured on it representing the gift.
Dahmen is a contemporary realist whose work has been shown both in this country and abroad. Her recent paintings reflect her love of the Midcoast and the conservation areas such as the DAR land, Dodge Point and other walks near her home.
After moving to Newcastle in 2004 she has been a featured artist in Maine Home + Design magazine's Artist issues of 2009, 2011 and 2012.
Her serigraphs have been widely distributed around the world by UNICEF and Graphique de France of Paris, France. One of her of her paintings of Teel Island hung in the White House during George H. W. and Barbara Bush's tenure.
