The Damariscotta Police Department welcomed two officers to its full-time ranks and a new administrative assistant during the Wednesday, Dec. 17 Board of Selectmen’s meeting.
Damariscotta Police Chief Ron Young introduced new full-time Officer Erick Halpin and James Dotson to the town. Both Dotson and Halpin served as part-time officers for the town. Young also introduced Joanna Kenefick, who will serve in an administrative role for the department.
“Officer Halpin has served with the Phippsburg Police Department before, and has served his country as an Army National Reservist,” Young said. “Officer Dotson is from Boothbay and has served us since August.
“They both came on at the right time, and have done a bang-up job.”
