“Into the Woods” is a modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, the film intertwines the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests.
This humorous and heartfelt musical fantasy follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel tied together by an original story involving a baker, his wife, and a witch.
Plays Wednesday, Jan. 21 and Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.
“The Imitation Game” is a historical thriller about British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and pioneering computer scientist Alan Turing.
Turing, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch, was a key figure in cracking Nazi Germany's naval Enigma code which helped the allies win World War II, only to later be criminally prosecuted for his homosexuality.
Graham Moore's screenplay is based on the biography “Alan Turing: The Enigma,” by Andrew Hodges.
“The Imitation Game,” has been nominated for, and has received, numerous awards, with Cumberbatch's performance receiving high praise.
The film, and its cast and crew, were honored by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest LGBT civil rights advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the U.S.
Rated PG-13, it plays at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, Saturday, Jan. 24, Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 29 and at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 25.
