April music lineup at Savory Maine
Savory Maine's monthly music series features musicians from around the Midcoast on Thursdays and Saturdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The April lineup includes two new acts of acoustic Americana and folk and Celtic music.
On April 2 singer-musician Jamie Peghiny will start off the month performing on guitar, bass, ukulele and whistles; followed on April 4 by the Double Entendre. The duo hails from central Maine and performs acoustic Americana.
Sylvia Tavares and Gary McCue entertain April 9 with Sylvia playing classic folk and original music and Gary rocking with jazz, blues and folk music.
On April 11, Kathi Nordone returns with her mix of folk, country, inspirational, gospel and original songs. Rusty Hinges gets the place rockin' — again — on April 16.
Guitarist Stan Davis with his mix of traditional and original songs, from the blues to lyrical hymns about modern country life to songs about reincarnation to love songs.
Elizabeth Starr, guitarist, singer and songwriter fluent in folk and Celtic music making her debut at Savory Maine on April 23.
On April 25, it's Giff Jamison, a songwriter who draws from folk, jazz and rock/Americana influences, but whose roots are country blues and finger style guitar.
Gary McCue closes out the month on the 30th as a soloist.
Savory Maine, located at 11 Water Street in Damariscotta, is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving lunch and dinner. It is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Savory Maine is proud to support local farmers, fishers, foragers, food producers, artists and musicians.
