Students at Wiscasset High School nominated substitute teaching couple Prescott and Pat Farris as “Teachers of the 3rd Quarter.”
“While they are substitutes, they are an important part of our school,” teacher and student council adviser Deb Pooler said. “They volunteer for all school activities, and either show up to cheer on the students at events or offer to chaperone, all on their own time.
“They are always there to support the students.”
