Services/Goods Offered: Rep Cup Coffeehouse is your in-town, year round gathering place for fair trade coffee, fresh baked goods, homemade soups, daily specials and local culture. Located directly across from the Whale Park and Town Landing, we have a bird's eyes view of the harbor activity from our outdoor tables. We offer a cull coffee bar menu including espresso, lattes, cappuccino, chai tea and iced beverages. Our baking is done in-house and we make all our own soups using the freshest ingredients available. We also serve breakfast and specialty sandwiches which can be enjoyed in-house or taken to go. Beer and wine by the glass are available including Maine made and organic selections. Artwork by local artists will be featured monthly. Thursday night is music night where we welcome area musicians to share the stage. Look for other evening events include Beatles Sing-a-long night, open mic night and guest artists.
Owner Profile: Paul and Wendy Johnson have lived in the Boothbay region for 27 years, making it their family home. They have worked in harbor hotels and formerly owned Blue Moon Café. Paul is also a well-known local musician and Wendy is a yoga and Pilates instructor. They bring these various interests and a commitment to strengthening community to the task of making delicious, nourishing food and serving it with an attention to detail to be enjoyed in a relaxed setting. They use fresh, local ingredients when available and look forward to again supporting our local CSA Goranson Farm.
Special Features: Kid friendly, with a play area for children; free Wi-Fi, gluten-free menu items, Red Cup punch card (buy 10 coffees get one free), pet-friendly outdoor seating.
Goals: Our decision to re-enter the restaurant business has been driven by our desire to create a community gathering place where everyone feels welcome, that "third place" after home and work. We hope our friends and neighbors, both old and new, will stop by and join us for a Red Cup.
