Creative writing workshops
Elizabeth Potter will be teaching three four-week creative writing workshops on Wednesdays at the Skidompha Library in Damariscotta from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $94 per session/$89 Early Bird (registrations a week prior to each session’s start date). The session start dates for this summer are: June 17, July 15 and Aug. 12.
This ongoing workshop offers participants an opportunity to get the creative juices flowing, overcome the internal critic, and let heart and soul flow out onto the page. Just as importantly, it also provides a tight knit, supportive community of fellow writers with whom to share the fruits of your labor. Potter will present proven writing prompts and techniques to tickle your muse and coax even the most hesitant voice onto the page.
Potter is a teacher and poet residing in Midcoast Maine. Her poetry has been published both locally and nationally, most recently in On the Issues Magazine and the online edition of Yankee Magazine. In March 2013, she was the featured poet on the Poet’s Café airing on CTN channel 5 (ctn5.org). Potter is a certified Amherst Writer’s and Artist’s Institute workshop leader (www.amherstwriters.com) and has been leading creative writing workshops for all ages for the past 15 years.
