Dinosaurs at story hour
Do all dinosaurs fly? Three curious dinosaur friends are determined to find out in the book "Three Little Dinosaurs" by Charles Fuge.
They all climb to the top of a high volcano and flap their arms with all their might, but they only manage to go rolling down the other side.
Luckily, their friend Terry Dactyl was flying by and offered to give them a lift home, and what a fun flight that was!
We also read "Dinosaur Starts School" by Pamela Duncan Edwards and enjoyed learning about how a dinosaur might feel nervous starting a new school too.
After reading, we got started with our dinosaur feet project. By taking two matching tissue boxes that were emptied, we attached triangle shaped sponges for claws. When they dried, everyone put their feet into the tissue boxes and stomped like real dinosaurs.
Our last story hour before the summer reading program begins will be this Thursday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m. All good listeners are welcome to enjoy a few stories and an activity to follow. We are located at 21 High Street, Wiscasset.
