In the presidential election, Wiscasset picked Barack Obama over Mitt Romney by 1036 to 960

In the race to replace Sen. Olympia Snowe Wiscasset residents picked Angus King over Charlie Summers and Cynthia Dill. King picked up 995, while Summers grabbed 760 and Dill took 201.

In the congressional race, Chellie Pingree beat out Jon Courtney 1177 to 847.

In the local elections, Wiscasset selected Republican Les Fossel over Chris Johnson in the State Senator District 20 race by 1173 to 822.

In the District 53 representative to the legislature race, Wiscasset picked Ray Soule over Timothy Marks by 1238 to 760.

Wiscasset approved, 1,349-533, the referendum related to amending the Regional School Unit 12's cost sharing formula.

Wiscasset also approved Question 1 for subdivision review, 1,012 to 819, Question 2 for a site plan review, 1,021 to 804 and Question 3 to accept a deed from Central Maine Power Company, 1,250 to 725.

In Question 1 to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples Wiscasset voted against 1077 to 946.
