A third Wiscasset resident is throwing his hat in the ring for Wiscasset School Committee in elections on Tuesday, June 9. Preston Dunning’s announcement Monday, June 8, that he is running as a write-in candidate makes a contest of what had been two incumbents’ uncontested races to retain their seats.

The two seats will go to the two candidates who get the most votes, Town Clerk Christine Wolfe said Monday.

School Committee members Eugene Stover and Glen Craig are both on Tuesday’s ballot, having turned in nomination papers in their reelection bids.
