Spark ARTS 2015 children’s summer art program
Registration is open for Spark ARTS’ 2015 summer program.
Spark ARTS, a youth art program, focuses on experiential and creative expression. Professionally run by practicing artists and educators, Spark ARTS seeks to engage children in art making and summer fun.
Children ages 6-11 will create art from a variety of dimensions, including: fibers, book making, storytelling, drawing and painting (observational and unconventional), printmaking, mold making, body cast, wax resist and sculpture. Along with art making and exploration, children will have opportunities throughout the week for yoga and creative writing.
This summer, Spark ARTS is offering four exciting weeks, choose one or join us for all four. Each week is designed to work in harmony with one another and projects will not be repeated.
Week 1: July 6–11 Puppetry & Narrative
Week 2: July 13–17 Climbing out of the Box
Week 3: July 20-24 Drawing into Sculpture
Week 4: July 27-July 3 Advanced Studio for students 10-12 years old (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
All weeks meet Monday through Friday, including a final art show on Friday afternoon. Weeks 1-3 will meet 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and week 4 will meet 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
