Interactive exhibit at Bath gallery
The Wilderland Interactive Exhibit at the Chocolate Church Art Gallery is an invitation to be curious.
The display combines the artwork of artist kdb with an interactive sensory experience to explore changes in the Kennebec River in the decades to come and consider the impact of those changes.
By the time the Kennebec gets to the City of Bath, it is brackish water. It then travels 10 nautical miles down river to the outgoing tide and meets the pounding surf at Popham Beach, then empties into the Gulf of Maine.
This is an Interactive exhibit with encaustic and acrylic paintings, photographs, topo-maps, guides and a discovery table. The wilderland and its treasures are exhibited in June and July 2015.
Gallery hours are Tuesday, 12-4 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 12-4 p.m. More information available by calling 207-442-8455.
The gallery is located at 804 Washington Street in Bath.
